A. NATIONAL AWARD FOR BRAVERY & HARYANA CHILDREN BRAVERY AWARD
The State Council recommends cases of brave children of the State to Indian Council for Child Welfare, New Delhi for National Bravery Award who perform any bravery act in Haryana. The main objective is to give due recognition to the children who performs act of bravery with a view to inspire other children to follow their example. If the child is not selected by ICCW for National Bravery Award, than the State Council consider the case of Haryana Children Bravery Award for a sum of Rs. 5000/- per child.
B. NATIONAL AWARD FOR CHILD WELFARE 1997:
The work done by the Haryana State Council for Child Welfare has been duly recognized Human Resources Development. Government of India by awarding the prestigious “NATIONAL AWARD FOR CHILD WELFARE – 1997”. The Award was received by H.E., the Governor-President of the Council on 25th March, 1998 from H.E. Shri K.R. Narayanan, President of Indian at a function organized at Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi. This award was given in recognition of the Council’s outstanding performance in the field of Child Welfare and development. The award carried a cash prize of Rs. 2 Lakhs and a citation. Earlier also one of its branches, namely, District Council for Child Welfare, Kurukshetra, had bagged this prestigious NATIONAL AWARD FOR CHILD WELFARE in 1994. The award was presented by H.E., the president of India on 3rd April, 1995 at a function organized at Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi.
C. RADHA RAMAN MEMORIAL SHIELD:
The Indian Council for Child Welfare, New Delhi adjudged the Haryana State Council for Child Welfare as the best State Council for its all round excellent performance for promoting Child Welfare services in the State in the year 1984-85. The President of India awarded Radha Raman Memorial Shield to the Haryana State Council for Child Welfare in a special function organized at Rashtrapati, Bhavan, New Delhi on 10.7.1985.
